How far form birmingham international to the NEC?

right i am going to Crufts on the Friday (gundog Day)
but i cannot decided weather it would be quicker to get the train and walk from the train stattion.
Or

Take the car and walk form the car park (they also provide a bus)

Take the car!! I'm there the same day and we looked at all the alternatives including train, bus or staying the night before but have decided the car is still the best bet. Been exhibiting at Crufts since 1992 and each year we look at the train but there aren't any trains to get us there for 9am unless we go the night before. There are coaches going that would pick us up on the M6 but then you are worrying about other people wanting to leave when you aren't ready. Staying down the night before is great, we did it when we had a motorhome, but hotels are so expensive and the nearest one doesn't allow dogs. The station is within walking distance, it's about as far as the further car parks, but there isn't a free bus from there. Take the car, you won't be able to sleep the night before anyway, that's if you are exhibiting, so can set off bright and early.
See you there!

It's right next door

station

Much better to use train

It will take you about 5 minutes to walk from the train station - all indoors and signposted.

Whereas the car parks are a pain. Unless you arrive really early, you will get stuck in queues and then if you park in one of the close car parks you will be walking probably 10 minutes - all outside. If you park in one of the car parks further out - you will have to catch one of the free buses. There will be plenty of them running but they are bound to be full for crufts so there may be a wait - again you will be outside whilst you're waiting. Then of course you will be in the queues again on the way out of the NEC.

Train every time!
