UK travel - Take my own car or hire one which it best? |
I am going to England for the first time in July for a couple of weeks with my wife. I am from the Republic of Ireland and have a free state car. I am wondering are free state cars accepted over there and what are the driving rules like compared to Ireland. I am also wondering would I be better hiring one out when I get there instead of taking my own. What do you think? Personally, as its such a short distance - I`d bring my own car.. rental is pretty expensive.. If we were coming over there we`d take our own car.. same rules apply here as in Ireland.. dont worry about it.... Just rent one. would bring your own hun, but not sure what a free state car is Julie W gave a good answer. I suggest you take the car with you. |
