How long can malawians stay in the uk?

How do I qualify to travel to the UK as a visitor?
You must be able to show that:

-you want to visit the UK for no more than six months
-you intend to leave the UK at the end of your visit, and
-you have enough money to support yourself and live in the UK without working or needing any help from public funds.



Malawi citizens need a visa to come to the UK as a visitor.

Student Visitors
From 1 September 2007 you are no longer able to study short courses in the UK if you enter as a Visitor. You must get a visa as a Student Visitor or as a Student.

A Student Visitor visa will give you permission to stay in the UK for up to six months, but you will not be allowed to take part-time work, extend your visa or switch to Student status.

Children as visitors
Children under the age of 18 years need to declare whether they are travelling alone or with an accompanying adult. If with an accompanying adult this person must be named and their name will be shown on the child's visa. The visa will not be valid if the child attempts to travel alone, or with a different adult.

In all cases the visa officer must be satisfied that satisfactory arrangements have been made for the child's care in the UK.
