Best way to get to Maidstone, Kent? |
I live in Nottingham and i want to know what the best way of getting to Maidstone, Kent is. i have looked at trains and they seem expensive for the distance. I don't drive so that is not an option. Just wondering if anyone has any good idea's Try National Express coaches to Victoria London and then a connection to Maistone, check out thier prices on line,, train is really the best way I totally agree with the top answer. Trains are a ridiculous expense, and whatever you do, you will have to go into London and then out again. Look at the coaches! Helicopter piloted by Kylie Minogue. Coach is likely to be cheapest but will probably take a long time. The train operator East Midlands trains has some very cheap tickets indeed on their route to London St Pancras providing you book 7 days ahead. Go to Nottingham Station or their website www.eastmidlandstrains.co.uk; they can sell you a through ticket to Maidstone via London. On arrival at London St Pancras take the Underground Victoria Line to Victoria to resume your train journey to Maidstone. Look into the mega bus, they have really cheap seats sometimes. Go to the nearest junction on M1 and thumb a lift with a board reading M20. You should get a lorry going the full distance and on to the channel tunnel. Just ask them to stop at junction 6. Try it they are sometimes glad of the company and you can't get better value than a freebie.. |
