Gonna visit London: Where should I hang out?

Anybody know where and what's the best place to stay at in Merry O'l? I'm heading there next month. I'm writing from New York.

like ahmm hang out? what are you a bat, or a piece of washing or maybe some aging hippie?. if thats the case then you can hang out with me. i'm going there soon to covent garden to laugh at the homless beggars and throw money at them for degrading themselves for my pleasure.

I live in london (: if you're guna stay somewere then stay at the ritz!!! lol. umm well you could visit oxford street, busiest street in europe, its ammaazzing if you love shopping. cyber candy is a must but i guess since you live in america you already get sweets from japan and stuff LOL. um yeh oxford street and theatre andd well yeh.

what sort of things are you into?

If you like music, what sort? For rock I'd say have a search on the web for Camden handouts (although a sizeable section burnt down on the 9th Feb 2008).
For dance music i.e. House, techno etc check out fabric (farringdon), ministry of sound (elephant & castle) and plastic people (Old Street).
For jazz try the Soho area.
