Symbol of travel?

What do you think is one symbol that would best represent the love of travel? I want to get a tattoo that symbolizes my love for travel. The idea I have so far is the stick figure symbol of the Greek God of travel. Can you think of any other interesting ideas?

A globe with either a plane going across the front or a person on top. Instead of the stick figure why not do the winged sandals, its more representative of both the Greek and Roman gods. Mercury, the one that symbol represents, was the Roman god, Hermes was Greek.

a plane?

How about a pelican bird flying with the baby wrapped by the piece of cloth carried by beck of the pelican.Ifudon't like how about a pretty swan swimming in the beautiful fish pond with the little child girl wearing a two piece rainbow colour.Hope it will give a symbol of travel.

There is a stick figure symbol for a hiker.
If you are going to have a stick figure that might make a good start.
Just change the walking stick to the winged medical symbol and put wings on the hiking boots. For a cartoon the one you show it a good start. Although I think the staff should be held out in front like a torch rather than appearing to be holding him back. The colors might be good on a woman.
