.... live in your country and have a comfortable life (not too fancy)? The money in question would be put in a bank and I would be living on interest only.

(If I were to do that here in the Philippines, I'd say I would need around 40 million PHP or 2 million USD ... to live comfortably on the interest)

haha. well pretty much the same. cuz the rate of peso to dollar is goin down. if you came from US and moved there in the philippines 3 years ago i say, yes you can live comfortably. but right now. nope.
