What is the best summer vacation spot???

I'd go with somewhere tropical like Hawaii or the Bahamas.
Or go somewhere you've never been like Europe, Asia or Australia.

I love the U.P. of Michigan, Eagle harbor, its located on lake Superior. A nice quiet relaxing place, beautiful scenery and nice people

Oh, Hawaii for sure! I know it sounds cliche, but it's the most beautiful place in the world (the big island's the best, but all are amazing) it has NO BUGS, and I'm being serious here, because ever time I've gone I haven't seen one. The beaches are beautiful, with scenic mountain landscapes all around and some really cool snorkeling spots. You can also try whale watching, surfing, body boarding. The people are beautiful and nice. It's the best place to be in the summer or winter!

I agree, the U.P. (Upper Peninsula) of the northern U.S. state of Michigan is great.
My second choice would be the island of Put-In-Bay, located off the northern coast of Ohio in Lake Erie. It is like Mardi Gras or Carnivalle all summer long! Just be sure to bring enough beads.
