Iam traveling and need suggestions?

I will be traveling to Alexandria Egypt, may 5th
BUT we will have 2 layovers.
1. In Amersterdam (NL) in the afternoon for 8 hours!
2. and in Cairo for 6 hours but i will be there at 2am

any one have any suggestions of what me and my family can do during this time? that is not to far from the airport? Othere then take a nap?

From what I hear, Amsterdam isn't really a place you want to take your family. Between hash bars and harems, you might be better off hanging out at the airport for 8 hours.
