Ello..... how would you compare britian to canada/u.s.a ?

I'd appreciate it if you didn't lump Canada and the u.s.a. in together. They are not one country!

It has a lot more history, is twice as expensive, and has great public transportation.

The food in Britain sucks, unless you like Indian food.

well whats britain got going for it

USA & Canada enjoy freedom, freedom of expression and liberty. The UK is a nanny state, where the government seek to 'control' 'control' 'control' everything you do or say-

the usa is a sick society rife with guns and where the dollar is more important than healthcare

lmao freedom. two words - patriot act

canada is big

the UK has had the largest empire the worlds ever known and is where originates both the language you asked this question in and the computer you asked it with

the US is #'1 in the industrialised world for...

- #1 for the use of the world's resources

- #1 in the production of pollution

- #1 in the gap between rich and poor

- #1 in deaths by gunfire

- #1 for teen pregnancy

- #1 for poverty among the elderly

- #1 for citizens without health coverage

- #1 for child poverty

- #1 for homeless veterans

- #1 for citizens behind bars

- #1 debtor nation in the world

- #1 in the creation of new billionaires

- #1 in school dropouts

- #1 in poverty, homelessness, hunger, divorce and suicide

- #1 in military spending - about as much as the rest of the world combined

here come the americans with their hubris and their thumb downs lol

I don't really think the States and Canada should be lumped into the same category...

By the way, cookie (above answer), where are your sources?

I would draw up a list of characteristics for the three countries and rate each one based on research and experience. Then rate how important each characteristic was to me.

Canada is amazing. I live there. Its beautiful, the people are nice, beavertales(!) Its a great quality of life, its alot cheaper to live in Toronto than it is to live in New York. Britain is super cool, Im moving there next year. But USA is a mess. I would never even go near that border.

Well I'm a Brit and I far prefer the U.S which is friendlier, cleaner, has spectacular sights and the cost of living is far cheaper, plus depending on where you live the weather is better,it has better food, and has far more to see and do.The only thing Britain has that is better is our healthcare system and some history.
Never been to Canada so can't comment on that, but I do intend to visit it as I've spoken to people who have been there and they said positive things...plus one of my friends is Canadian.
