Do my 15 month old twins need new passports, as they dont look like their 4 week old passport photos?

Hi Everyone,

I organised passports for my (then) 4 week old twins to travel from US to Australia, now they are 15 months old and our family are moving to Dubai. The girls no longer look anything like the pictures in their passports (as they were all tiny and preemie.. and are now huge big chubby bubs) yet their passports are valid until 2011.

Should i be worried about their pictures looking different? I'd of course rather not have to mess with it if they are still valid.. i just dont want problems while travelling.

Kids passports are good for 5 years.Many kids get theirs as infants...they do not need to get new ones until they are close to expiring...passport service knows kids appearance changes greatly, but there is no requirement to change the passport until it is due.

passports usually have an expiry date, just go with that, dont go thru more work for yourself than necessary, and most likely there will be a charge if you do update them.
