I am visiting switzerland for 9 days. I am planning to stay in the central switzerland, in interlaken? |
or luzerne or in between and then from these cities explore switzerland, as i think by train nothing is too far. Can one suggest me good well connected town, less crowded which is sort of central. I have heard some names but not too sure, Thun,Ringgenberg etc. Please help. Heii! Im from Switzerland and I live in Interlaken since 16 years. So I thought I have to answer this question...! I haven't been to Interlaken or the towns you listed at the end of your sentence. However, I spent three days in Lucerne(Luzerne) in 1985. It is very centrally located in the country, and is a beautiful city nestled among the Alps. Well Interlaken is a very touristy area but is also very beautiful and is popular for many reasons. Interlaken or Lucerne are fine, but if you want easy train connections to travel around the country, Bern is much better, centralized and have trains going to all directions , (unlike Interlaken which has two very small train stations).....and it is the capital of Switzerland too, hehe |
