Swiss Visa for Student UK visa holder?!?


Hi, I'm Vietnamese and currently studying in the UK. I'm holding a UK Student Visa, which expires Oct 2008! I planned to go to Switzerland for a few days during my Xmas holidays! I heard somes said dun need, but somes said need. therefore I'm quite confused! T___T thanks 4 answer me! ^^

The situation is very confusing at the moment. Traditionally you don't need a Swiss visa if you are flying direct to Switzerland and you have a long term multi-entry UK visa.

However, Switzerland will soon (mid 2008) join the Schengen area and will stop accepting UK visas. No-one seems to know when this will change, so you should contact the Swiss embassey and ask them.
