Is it possible to cross the border from italy to switzerland with a pet in the car?

would they check? or do the pets need some type of medical document proving certain vaccines or something?

im not bringing a dog, i have a pet rabbit. but either way i think italy would be the last place to look for a vet who would put in your rabbit a micro chip...

Yes you need an updated vaccination card for your pet otherwise they don't let it in or you have to put him/her in a special shelter (sorry, don't know the right name in english) for 3 months.

i drove from Switzerland to France and they so would not have noticed if a little pet was say.. under a blanket for a few seconds while passing through those gate things but thats deceitful i guess... so yeah let them know i suppose

It's possible but you dog must have all the papers in rule. Moreover your dog has to have a microcip.

Yes, as long as you are an EU citizen. If not, than you will probably have no problem, especially coming from Switzerland which has everything in common with the EU except the money (theres is worth a lot more).

Yes it is possible. You do not need a health certificate or a permit to import a domestic rabbit to Switzerland.

Here the detailed rules:
