That was my dream too but I had to compromise. I went to Lake Lucerne, which is beautiful but I did stay in an hotel and was forced to take part in the festivities, which I didn't really want. I hope you find what you are looking for.

it's not too difficult (i do it every Christmas season). find an Alpine village of your choice, and then simply rent an apartment for the week. you'll be more likely to see snow up high in the Alps, and chalet-style houses are standard in these areas. i like Wengen myself; others like Gimmelwald and Murren are nice options in the Jungfrau area. there are many other areas you can search, like Andermatt, Jura, etc.

I agree with most of the above.
Try some travel websites or an agency in your area to find a nice condo or house.
Snow is coming in early this year, so you should be able to see loads of it.

BTW, please be aware that getting a reservation so shortly before Christmas might be difficult.

I am a travel agent and Swiss living in Los Angeles.
Ther are absolutely nothing available this time of the year, unless you reserve at least 6 months in advance.
I had several requests, and the minimum requirement stay in ski resorts are 7 days, and they are all booked solid..
Sorry.
