Is yodelling popular anywhere besides Switzerland ? Knock, knock! Until the famous cull of 2005, it used to take place next door. Yeah down my local on the Karaoke night! texas You'd be surprised just how UNpopular it actually is in most of Switzerland! the annual switzerland yodelling convention. lol There is (was?) blues yodelling. The most famous exponent of it was Jimmie Rodgers, also known as the Singing Brakeman, The Blue Yodeller and The Father of Country Music. It's quite popular down most great white telephones in curry houses. It made Frank Ifield a bob or two. I really hope not! If you find out any differently please let us all know so we don't visit. my girlfriend can yodel in song and she is Austrian also many years ago in Austria up in the mountain i heard someone make a funny yodel sound that i took to be calling in the sheep Germany, Austria, Northern Italy (Alps) U.S. and Germany. Believe it or not - even in Japan, no joke! |
