Where can I go on holiday in Spain that won't be full of p*ssed up English people? |
And before I get accused of racism ......... I am English. I'm just looking for somewhere reasonably priced that won't be full of Sun readers. :-P Ok, I don't mean to offend all Sun readers (my parents read it) & apologies to anyone who is offended but I think most people will know the type I would like to avoid. You could try the Costa Calida,(Murcia) just south of Alicante,,where I used to live had many beaches and few Brits,it was more of a tourist region for the Madrid Spanish,Puerto de Mazarron,,,,lots of places to rent with pools and a lot of old fashioned family values,,loved it,,, Hee hee, there's lots of places to go. Im going to Menorca this year, it's very quiet compared to some resorts in Spain. Basque region. Good question ! I'm keeping an eye on these answers. haha i dont think you can dodge them, we get everywhere in spain!, lol but i went on my hols last year to majora, calas de mallorca was the place where i stayed and it wasnt at all that bad! as there wasnt much of a nightlife, yr u got the usual bars irish pubs, linerkers etc etc, but no nightclubs, so there was mostly families and couples that were there, a very pleasent place to say with 2 gorgeous coves, and a nice walk between the two over looking the ocean, Tarifa, its much much quieter, its a popular destination for wind surfers as its on the atlantic as opposed to the mediteranian sea. Beautiful deserted beaches. well even sun readers like somewhere other than places full of p issed up English yobs........ but what are you looking for, beach, city break, there is so much choice, and when are you planning to go? I would say Valencia is very beautiful, and i don't think too full! the trouble is we are always hear about the bad places and not often about the really good. go to murcia it is super it has lovely walks a marina afew shops bars and restaurants not crowded and even a nudist beach for the brave ones Research Valencia. It depends the period of the year you are going, but you might try the Costa Brave, between Girona and the French Frontiere. They have many small typical villages there (Cadaques, Begur, Rosas, Portbou, Llan莽a, Platja de Pals, L'Escala). Rent a car there so you can go easily from one beach to the other.. this is very nice place to visit and you'll enjoy something typical, here a map of the area I mean: http://images.google.ch/imgres?imgurl=ht... THe place for you to go is Santiago de Compostela in Galicia North Western Spain. The area is wonderful and the beaches are fantastic. You won't find many Brits there if any. I live on the Costa de Sol and I have friends in the Alicante area. Many places are great for holidays, but Galicia you will love. you should try the north of Spain: Galicia, Asturias, Cantabria, Pa铆s Vasco. Head for Denia, about 45mins from Alicante. Mijas Pueblo - hardly any brits. nice little village with quiant little spanish streets, lovely. Its not far from fuengirola and Mijas Playa - thats were the Brits usually go. Stay away from the Costa del Sol, and you will probably be okay. does it have to be spain (nee finances) why dont you try the states. or go to aurba. id love to sit and listen to that delightful accent of yours they have beautiful white sand beaches and the weather............... your closet ******this way you can sit in the dark like the miserable weirdo you ARE |
