Whats the weather like in spain (benalmadena) in mid October??? Thanks?

We are going on a family holiday for 2 weeks with a 3 year old and want to know what clothing to pack etc...

In a word, WONDERFUL. It's a great month to go and you've chosen a great place, too. The daytime temperatures should be well into the 80's, but after the heat of the day, you may feel the need for more than just a t-shirt at night, although it will still be around 60 degrees. T-shirts, shorts & flip flops (or sandals) will be all that is required, unless you intend dressing up for the evenings. If you are in a hotel, trousers will be expected at the evening meal in most hotels. Would also recommend you all wear something on your heads, during the day, as it can get hot.
You have chosen well, as there are lots of places to go, all in close proximity, and if you want to go further afield the train and local buses are frequent and cheap.
With a three year old child to amuse, you will love feeding the hundreds of fish, swimming in the Puerto Marina. And Paloma Park is a must, a beautiful park and lake set in many acres, with chicken, ducks and rabbits running free, an animal enclosure, childrens play-park, a large cactus garden, fountains, waterfalls, two cafe/bars and so much more and all this for FREE.
I could go on and on, but take a look at this great website on Benalmadena & Arroyo de la Miel, you will find it so informative. Have been going for 19 years now & visited 4 times last year. Only months I've not been are July and August.
Have a great holiday.

the rain in spain stays mainly in the plain

Actually That is the time of year that I visited Spain,,I guess it depends upon the area you are visiting too...I would check the internet for weather conditions before you go...IT is almost like PA but maybe 10 degrees higher I was told....The best thing is take jackets and light weight sweaters just in case... I wore mostly capris and short sleeve tops but did wear jackets as the sun went down..Weather can change no matter where ya go...ENJOY YOUR TRIP,,You will LOVE SPAIN , it is an Awesome place to visit...

October is actually one of the nicest months to visit the Costa del Sol as the weather is just about perfect. It is usually still hot but without being stiflingly so (daytime temps should still be in the mid 30C's) and should suit younger children fine. Regarding clothes it should be t-shirts and shorts all the way (don't forget the sun cream!) but I recommend having a light jacket or cardigan handy just in case the evening air is a little cooler, especially later in the month.

Have a great holiday!!

It will still be pretty warm. Highs of about 25c - 28c but at night it may feel chilly after the heat of the day.
Clothes to wear, I would imagine shorts & T shirts during the day, but you will need to pack accordingly for the evening. It won't be cold but it may be chilly. Bear in mind that you will still need a high factor sun lotion. No less than 25 especially for the kiddie.

it will be pretty warm , but take some warm clothes for the evenings ,it can get chilly especially along the coastline
