Is Spain and Portugal expensive for Australians?

I know what the exchange rate is but are things there expensive? I don't intend buying heaps but would like to find somethings to bring back with them. Also going to Morocco but I think that's ok with our dollar. Thanks

I live in Spain and the cost of living here is about 40% cheaper than the UK. I was in Portugal last year and found it expensive in comparison to Spain.
