Train from Barcelona Airport to Tossa de Mar, Costa Brava?

Hi

I am going to Tossa de Mar for a short break at the end of March and wonder if anyone could advise me on what trains I would need to get from Barcelona and the likely fare?

Any help would be much appreciated.

Thanks,

Natalie

Thank you very much for your helpful answers xox

hey,

im living in lloret de mar, 5km from tossa.

well, what u have to do is to take the train from the airport, then change it at Barcelona Sants and from there have to take the train for Blanes or Blanes-Ma莽anet ( think the train line is 8 )

from Barcelona to Blanes is around 1:30min. from Blanes should take the bus to Lloret de Mar and from there to Tossa.

All could cost u around 10鈧?per person.

Hope this help.

If any questions, feel free to mail me

As far as know there is no train station in Tossa De Mar. You will be able to get a bus and it is not expensive, takes about 1 hour. Tossa de Mar is a lovely little place have a nice time.

4 or 5 Euros for the train from Barcelona, but you'll have to get the train to Lloret de Mar and then transfer from there (taxi or bus), I believe.

NO TRAINS from airport direct the train for tossa goes from Sants and you have to get of in Blanes AND GET A BUS OR TAXI TO TOSSA the fare is approx 10 euros return.
this does not include rail fare from airport to BARCELONA
YOU WILL PROBABLY FIND IT IS BETTER TO TAKE A TAXI FROM THE AIRPORT DIRECT AT A GUESS IF THERE ARE FOUR OR MORE OF YOU IT WILL WORK OUT ABOUT THE SAME.
IF ONLY TWO IT WILL WORK OUT MORE EXPENSIVE BUT A LOT EASIER

JUST TO BE SURE ARE YOU FLYING TO BARCELONA EL PRAT OR BARCELONA GIRONA A LOT OF PEOPLE GET MIXED WITH THE TWO AIRPORTS

EDIT TAKE NO NOTICE OF BOY WONDER THERE IS NO TRAIN STATION IN LLORET DEL MAR

You wont be able to get a train straight from the airport - there is only one train from the airport but this will take you into central Barcelona in 20 minutes. From there you should be able to find trains to wherever you need to go. The most likely station you need is Barcelona Sants - it's the main train terminal in Barcelona. The tickets are generally quite cheap but I have never travelled to this place so I don't know how much it would be. The train ticked into Barcelona centre from the airport is about 鈧?.50 for a single. Otherwise there are buses to Tossa de Mar from Placa de Catalunya. The airport train will take you to Passeig de Gracia and from there it is only a 5-10 minute walk to Placa de Catalunya.

Have a look at http://www.renfe.es/ to look for specific trains

I got a train from Calella to Tossa in 95. Couldn't go all the way so had to get off at Lorette (or Blanes, can't remember) and then got a taxi. The taxi cost a bomb, it's a lot further that we'd expected so you're best getting a bus (unless you're really in a hurry or loaded). A you're travelling from Barcelona there may be a town north of Tossa with a bus link.

When we returned to Calella, we caught a boat that runs like a bus up and down the coast. That may be a better option, it stops right on the beach.
