Can anyone tell me the names of local malls or major malls in Auckland and in Panmure? |
I wonder where the good shopping spots are for clothes. I am moving to Panmure on Saturday and I just wanted to be aware of the major malls or local malls in either Auckland or Panmure. And also can you list some of the women department stores out there. Not real sure about the shopping scene in NZ. oh my gosh, honestly if you mean all of auckland there are way too many malls to list here, but the bigger ones are usually the westfield malls, www.westfield.co.nz.shopping is pretty good in nz,some of the womans clothes are supre, glassons, valley girl, shanton, theres heaps but these are the common ones found in most malls, you can also get clothing from the big department stores, the warehouse, kmart Panmure is very close - next suburb to Sylvia Park which has a large number of women's clothing stores. Sylvia Park is a new mall and the second largest in Auckland. There are more exclusive fashion stores in Newmarket and Parnell which are the suburbs next to Auckland city (not malls). All can be reached by bus from Panmure. There is also a large mall of "outlet stores" at Dress Mart at Onehunga. The major stores sell their end-of-line products, 2nds etc at a cheaper price at Dress Mart if you are after bargains. So if you are wanting exclusive type clothing - Newmarket and Parnell would be where to go, but if you are wanting a large choice - you can't go wrong at Sylvia Park. All the Westfield Malls (at Pakuranga, St Lukes and other suburbs) have almost identical shops. There is also Botany Downs which was the largest shopping complex until recently, but there are more dress shops at Sylvia Park. Sylvia Park is close by and Botany town centre is just a bus ride away (route 68) |
