I have a valid UK drivers license will i be able to drive legally in New Zealand on this, or do i need?

Your UK drivers license should be valid in NZ since they are part of the commonwealth. If in doubt you could enquire at the NZ High Commission about this. It might be easier to apply for a drivers license in New Zealand when you are there.

kiwimoviegirl has the correct link - I would have posted the same. However, if you are under 25 and renting a car or campervan you will be paying alot higher insurance, if they rent at all for under 25's.
