PLZ HELP! What are the opening and closing hours of shops in mexico?? |
Plz include cultural/traditional reasons please Most little shops are family owned businesses...and the owners are open when they want to be and closed when they want to be. They feel no particular obligation to keep strict hours. Generally , the little grocery and miscelania stores open about 8 in the mornong. Clothing or furniture stores do not open until about 10. Many stores close for 2 or 3 hours in the afternoon...usually 2 to 4 or 3 to 5. But the reopening time is never exact. They open when it is convenient to the owner. This afternoon break may be used for a siesta, or for the owner to do errands or take care of the family. When they re-open at 4 or 5, they then stay open until about 8 or 9 in the evening. The afternoon is the hottest time of day, and since the shops stay open until 8 or 9 in the evening, they take that afternoon break to rest. Depends in great measure on the area. Northern Baja California, for the most part, runs on US time. Stores and liquor stores open at 8 a.m. and close late in the evening, no siesta time in mid-day. Liquor can't be sold until 10 a.m. Right. It depends very much on the area and the kind of bussiness you are looking for. Most of chain big supermarkets opens from 8 - 9 AM til 8 - 10 PM all week long. Though you can find others like Oxxo and 7eleven and some drugstores that opens 24 hours. 8:00 am till10:00 pm Just find WALMART and you'll have 24 hours open super market. mall open at eleven close at nine, markets open at 9 and close by seven, cfafts stores , family own, open around 10 close early, meusims open at 9 close by 6, they ere clodes on monday it depends, check it out at the hotel. most close around 8 maybe 9 if youre lucky, and open before most ppl get up Where in Mexico? The people in the south and small towns have a shorter opening hours. in the big cities you can find all the days a store open from 8am to 10 pm. |
