A question about the USA and Latin America? |
when Europieans took over the USA how come they did not take over Latin America and Mexico? i'm latinoamerican, from argentina. Christopher Columbus landed in South America... check your history books... it is just the evolution of north and south america that you need to look into. Well actually they did. Spain (a European country) ruled much of South AND North America for a very long time. There is Spanish colonial architecture everywhere across both continents, it's also the reason why most Latinos are Catholic (Spain brought their religion with them and established Catholic missions everywhere in the New World). They did except they were from spain and protugal that's why they speak spanish and portuguese there instead of mayan or aztec dialecs. yes they did! spain controlled south america and parts of north america and spain is a european country. |
