HoW DOES GREEK SOUND TO SPANISH SPEAKING NATIONS? |
i am doing a survey in 10 foreign speaking countries. Well, i live in Latin America. In my country it is not "out of place" to hear people speaking German (we have an all German Channel) and Italian because there are many pure 2nd, 3rd and 4th generation Germans and Italians here. I have 2 friends (from University) who are of Green descent and speak the language. The first time i heard it it sounded like a mix of Italian and German (without the very heavy accent). Kalimera George, Greek sounds pretty different to romance languages, including spanish. It has a very peculiar sound for the Spanish speakers, very different to English, for example. Maybe is possible to be compared to the sound of Hungarian or other languages from East Europe. |
