Honduras or costa rica for a beach vacation late nov-early dec?

for honduras i was thinking roatan & for costa rica ??? not sure...

it will be approx. 10 days & of course cost would come into consideration (place to stay, food, transportation, entertainment, etc.) (ie: flights from the northwest to honduras is approx. $1000, to costa rica approx. $750)

only requirements are that there be a nice beach, some tourism is okay but not a college spring break, maybe some snorkeling or surfing, decent nightlife. thanks :D

Honduras is the best opcion. There are beautiful beaches like

Bay Islands ( Islas de la Bahia) Group of three islands.
Tela
Puerto Cortes ( Cortes Port)
Omoa
La Ceiba
and some other beatiful beaches!! Good Travel!!!

Try american Airlines, the cost is between $ 650 - $ 700.

1st Go Continental or a new airline Spirit for flights into Honduras. There are some Latin airlines flying out of Miami as well. Spirit does not fly from many places out of the States, if you look into "deals"/southwest it should make up the difference....getting to/from your location to one of theirs Go directly to Continental web site, i've found they offer the best deals.......

There are places other than Roatan, though it would be HARD to beat for snorkeling, don't know about surfing as the reef may interfere with that. I would think Roatan would have some better deals than Costa Rica..........basically Honduras is one of the best deals left in Latin America. If you do want to surf, try the Pacific side of Honduras. I would not expect a Spring Break in either location at that time...........nor should Holiday travel........it's just coming off hurricane season, I would think a little checking around on virtual tourist and such sites would net you the PERECt location with your budget.

ENJOY!!!

Honduras.. Go to Puerto Cortes..Very beautiful.. check out my photos under Honduras at my myspace www.myspace.com/hellowselena

Tela Beach Resort is a good deal...much prettier than Puerto Cortes...good food...cost is very inexpensive.....not overrun with tourists.....I like it the most.....
