Is it worth the trip to Cinque Terre in March during the cold and rainy season? |
Is it worth the trip to Cinque Terre in March during the cold and rainy season? Yes, Cinque Terre is spectacular and always worth a visit. I live in Italy, visit Cinque Terre three or four times a year, and have been there in March several times. It isn't really cold then during the day; the average high temperature is 14 deg C (57 deg F). While it's cool, the temperatures are much better for walking the trails between the towns than it is in July and August. March is the end of the rainy season, but that's a relative term. I don't remember ever having rain on any visit to Cinque Terre. The best time to go would be May or September, but if March is when you'll be in Italy Cinque Terre is a good place to visit. An advantage to March is that it won't be crowded. yes, i agree with the give answer. moreover, nowadays you never know how the weather is like, it can be that in March it's sunny and pleasantly earm and in Mai you have a very cold week! Cinque Terre are always beautiful, the sea is always fascinaing. I'm Italian and I live in Tuscany, just 1,5 hour drive from Cinque Terre and I would recommend it anytime of the year. march can be drizzley & chilley but could also have sunny days warming up. yes, go to italy during march!!!! |
