Im going to italy in march. What are the clubs like? what should I wear? What should i know about italy? |
What should I bring? Is the food fattening? Whats the water temp. like that time of year? Hello, here is an italian girl from Milano. Personally I wouldn't bring a lot of clothes, I'd do all my shopping over there! The style will be very different from what you wear now. Get yourself 3 or 4 outfits at least and you'll set trends when you return! The clubs were discos when I was there. The food is fattening if you eat too much. The ice cream is to die for. If you're eating out for every meal you'll find that you're expected to eat a first and second plate-course for lunch and supper. The first plate is pasta (the serving isn't so big that you won't have room left over) and the second course is usually a meat dish. Salad is served last, just before dessert, the dressing is oil and vinegar (put your oil on first then the vinegar next) or what we know as French dressing. My Dad order Zuppa Inglese once (English soup) well we laughed when they brought out trifle! Some restaurants have English translations to help. well I'm gonna assume you are American. As an American the main difference i find is that over here the exaggeratedly OVER dress in clubs, it seems that to show off is part of the fun, so, I'd advice you to be as fashionable as you can (of course Italian fashion NOT American fashion) About the weather i don't know exactly where you're gonna be but in march the weather should be mild-coldish in most of the country. Italian food can be very fattening, specially sweets like cannoli but those few extra pounds you might get are completely worth it! HAVE FUN PLEASE DO NOT WEAR FLIP FLOPS IN THE CITY....or out at night!.. look around you for fashion advise, ques, look at store windows and at what people are wearing.. then adopt your own style!! |
