Where is a good place to hike while visiting Italy?

Where is a good place to hike while visiting Italy?

Cinque terre is just really crowded ... but quite nice. If you are looking for more challenging hiking ... go to 'Trentino' and the Dolomite region - some of the very best hiking.
Once you arrive in the village, go to the local tourist office, they have up to date information on the best hikes, and usually sell good maps as well.

As an alternative you can also go to the Abbruzzi mountains ... but it can be quite rough and remote and I would only recommend if you are a really experienced hiker and excellent in reading maps.

Enjoy

CINQUE TERRE!!! i have never been there, but im going this summer....its like the most famous hiking spot in italy....it is in Genoa (northern Italy)....my friend did this 3years ago and said that it was awesome....she told me that there is a lot of sites to see, and that there are also great places to stop and rest on the paths.....The path goes through 5 cities (Cinque is italian for 5)....my friend said that it was about a 5-6 hour hike (depending on how much u rest and how slow u hike)....but u get to see many beautiful sites, and it is definitely worth it....i also found a website for u on it which also has links to other websites on the page...
