Anyone been to Italy?

I am going there in just over a week, and I'd like to find some good music there to buy. But, I don't know many Italian bands, or where any music stores are. I'm looking for any kind of rock/ alternative/ punk/ techno/ indie type music, something in Italian that I couldn't buy here. I'm going to Rome, Florence, Venice, Pisa, Naples, pretty much all the big tourist cities. If anyone could tell me the names of any music stores there/where to get some music and the names of some good bands, I would greatly appreciate it! thanks!!!!

negromaro!!!!! a good good band, I am english, and I find their style similar to the english music scene.

i like venice it smells bad though

Go to where the young people hang out and ask around.
In Naples walk around the Castle and talk to some young people there.
Buona fortuna!

in italy you can buy cds in supermarkets, and usually there are cds shops in every city.
personally my favourite italian singers are
_vasco rossi
_ligabue
they're style is kind of pop rock, very nice....
you can also try:
eros ramazzotti, laura pausini, elisa, finley etc...
if you are really interested in italian music, look for some bands and singers on google and then find their music videos on youtube!

if you are lookin for the best genuine alternative/rock/indie bands in Italy, these are the names: afterhours, subsonica, guilty method, lombroso, verdena. the first two are my fauvorite bands! have a great time in Italy. I'm form Pisa, if i can be of any help, just let me know www.ariannandfriends.com

in italy there are many megastore where you find cd (comdadori, fnac, feltrinelli) but also in big supermarket
I like very much an italian band which name is 883

Verdena is a very cool Band http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hGCYpd-JB...

I've never been to Italy but it's one of the places I'd like to visit some day.

Have a good time.
