Italy ?'s help!?

I have to do a report on any topic and i picked Italy..i have some questions so i was hoping i could get some real answers..

1.) Those little electric scooter things what do they call them?
2.)what are some of the foods they eat?(besides pizza!)
3.)what is the climate like in the summer?winter?

thanks for your help
Anyone who answered!

also do they use trains,railroads,cars,taxis,buses?

1. I don't know what you mean, probably a "monopattino elettrico", like these ones:
http://www.minibikeclub.it/catalog/image...
http://www.cristiancontini.it/images/kam...
I saw them often, and they are even used from the police in Milan

2. what I eat more often is pasta. but actually we like almost everything: if you go to the south of Italy, you will find the best sea foods and fishes, while if you go to the north, there is more rice and meat.

3. the climate in summer is hot. If you visit the coast, it's always a bit windy, but if you go to a city such as Milan or Rome, it will be quite humid. in winter it's quite cold, but it depends from where you are. Actually in the south it's a little bit warmer, but this winter it snowed even in Sicily, while it didn't snow so much in Milan

4. the means of transport that we prefer is our own car. this is a problem because you will always find traffic jam in the city center. anyway, lots of people use public transport, there are lot of "pendolari" that everyday take the train or the bus to go to work. I'm one of them, everymornign I take a train to Milan and it's a little bit frustrating because always every morning it's late and I never know at what time I will arrive in Milan. Maybe you didn't know it, but since January the 2nd, the city of Milan introduced a new tax, that is called the "ecopass": this mean that you have to pay if you want to enter in the city center with you car. here you are a brochure http://www.comune.milano.it/dseserver/ec...

1. I think they called Vespas but thats a brand and I'm sure there are more out there.

2. PASTA!! LOTS of different types!!!, wine, olives, tomatoes, seafood...its varied depending on which area you live in, but pasta is the main thing I guess

3. I would say hot...very in parts in the summer time....I went in April when it was nice....a bit rainy but nice and in winter...not as cold as other parts of Europe as it juts out into the Med, so cool....more so inland and up north and in mountainous area. It snows there in winter, but maybe if you found an internet site it would have more accurate info.

Hi, I'm Selene and I'm Italian!

1) We call them Vespas
http://volosenzali.ilcannocchiale.it/blo...
Is that?

2)We love pizza (^_^) and we love pasta! All tipes of pasta! In fact Italy is associated with pasta and pizza...if you come here in Italy, you will like our Spaghetti! But we don't eat only pasta and pizza...we product delicious cheeses, like Parmigiano, Gorgonzola, Fontina, Caciocavallo, Asiago...and so on! Italian food is good!

3)In summer the weather is good, we have beautiful sunny days and it's hot...in winter we have snow and rain! Italian weather is no hot and no cold...!

I hope you will have fun here in Italy!
Sorry for my English!
Kisses, Selene

Hi I'm Italian ( I don't speak english very good like most Italians)
1Ask for a monopattino elettrico.
2We don't eat only PASTA!!Try our wild boar on pasta...:-))
3The climate in summer is very hot especially in the south 25掳 to 35掳 also 40掳 in winter in the north -1掳 tyo -20掳

1. Don't know what you mean, the most common things are scooters (motorini) and Vespas, but they have petrol engines. Maybe it's the monopattino elettrico someone suggested (but I can't say I ever saw one)
2. Pasta, in so many shapes and with so many sauces it's impossible to list them all here. Every region has typical dishes, that might or might not include pasta.
3. usually very hot in the summer, mild winters in the centre-south, very cold winters in the north. Mild springs and autumns.
