Is it usual to have to give your landlord your pps number when renting? |
he says he needs it for the lease forms? I was never asked for it before when renting other places. If he is doing things correctly, paying tax on the rent he receives etc., then he will need it. Might have to do with rent allowance? yes if they are above board they always want to be sure of you too It might have some to do with the fact that you can claim rent relief if you pay tax? Check out revenue.ie As far as I know they need your PPS number to register you as their tennant with their local authority, I'd take it as a good sign, means they're above board. |
