Wanting to move to Ireland??

I am 15 and live with my single mother and younger brother.
My mom is an RN at a level one trama hospital.
I was talking to her the other say and she was saying how she loved Ireland. (went there December 07) and that she wanted to take me so badly.
We started talking about how neat it would be to move there and how easliy it would be for her to find a job because of what she does.
How do I convince her that it is a good idea for us to start all over new? In a new place with a new begining?
Also... is the cost of living higher there? Or cheaper?

it is very expensive there. also it is very hard to get a job now because there are a lot of illegal people there. they work for like 3 euro an hour, and no one can compare to that. when i say it's expensive i mean VERY expensive. the cost of living is so much more. personally i really don't think you should move there. if you want a fresh start try somewhere cheaper or at least where you can find a job easily.

look it up

You know nothing about the country besides what your mother has told you, maybe you should visit their at least once before you decide to up and move. You know you would also need to get a visa or citizenship which isn't always easy.

chance of a life

no idea. but i just wish i could get out of the U.S. especially cause i live in detroit. and ireland would be neat, im irish. anyways good luck with that.

encourage your mum and say that we'll all be a better person and i think it's cheap!

Lots of useful info

go for it... im irish and although i am moving out to australia for a bit i dont have a bad word to say about ireland. everyone is quite laid back and friendly! you prob should visit first though because you many find it pretty quiet and boring depending on where you move to. west coast is the 'true' ireland!!

The cost of living there is very dear.
The Economy isn't as it was 15 year ago, Our Celtic tiger isn't roaring anymore!

= )

Well i'm Irish and live in Dublin. I'm actually moving to the US this year as i'm marrying an American man. I tell you now there are good and bad things about both places. Do your research. The cost of living here is high. There are much better vacation laws here too. By law we have to have 20 vacation days a year and then i think there are 9 holidays too. I'm dreading my move to the US for this. I hear 13 days is the average vacation per year. Also maternity leave, you get almost a year maternity leave here compared to 12 weeks in the US. A fecking disgrace. Btw where are you living now?

i think mey be is better australia or canada....

Ireland is very expensive, trust me I live here....maybe you should atleast visit once though? maybe you just need a holiday?

you really need to do some proper research before you even consider moving to a totally different country
