I want to wear western dresses i.e., dresses exposing legs, thighs in India? where in India may I reside?

Why would you want to expose your thighs? Are you planning on wearing a bathing suit???

hyderabad

hop in to mumbai..

Yes...many versions of western dresses for women are in use in all the Metros and major cities in India.
These were quite in demostration this "Valentine's Day" in India and there are so many takers for....!!
You are welcome with any such dresses in India.
These clothings, where less and less fabrics are used are quite comfordable in India as its otherwise a tropical country.

I often wonder, in cold countries ( minus 5, minus 10-20) , how you feel comfordable with such "exposed" dresses ??

Mumbai

Go to Mumbai or Puna. Anything goes there. There fashion has outdone America. They might have styles you havent thought of. They wear dresses, duke shorts...you name it.

India is very open to all dress. India is not a Muslim country. You can wear anywhere you want. But there is some people Stupid people all over.

You could wear anything you want, If you are roaming around in the cities nobody would give you a second glance. But if you are travelling to places other than the cities you might get some hungry looks.:).but you can get away.

plus exposing legs is no problem at all anywhere, anything higher the above explanation will hold good.

I have been to India before, actually my dad is from there

Really, you don't have to worry about exposing your legs there. As long as your in a big city, noone has a problem with it, India is no longer a country that is isolated. You'd be suprised how many western customs there are there.

If you wanted to expose your legs in the villages then you may have some trouble because even though India does have a lot of Western influence, the villages haven't evolved that much.

The cities I've been to (Bombay, Pune, Dehli, Japur, and Agra) I didn't have a problem with my American clothes, actually most people were wearing American clothes
