Why is Worms a great city in Germany for?

Why is Worms a great city in Germany for?

It is supposed to be the oldest Celtic settlement in Germany, has a history of Roman occupation, and is located in an area that's supposed to have one of Germany's warmest climates. Worms is famous for its medieval architecture, too; but I think it's overestimated. You can see Roman and medieval architecture, too, when you come to Ratisbon (Regensburg), and their cathedral (the Regensburger Dom) is much more impressive than all the churches at Worms, and in Regensburg, you have the big advantage of the river Danube ("die Donau") flowing through it; the climate in that area is almost the same in summer, and you can take river cruises as far as down to Austria. Worms is a nice little city worth a visit on occasion.
