Weather in Germany? |
Thinking about adding Germany to my "wish list" of posts, what is the weather like there year round? More temperate than the US. Between 20 and 80 degrees depending on the area and season. Here we get between -20 and 120 and some areas have no seasons. Big difference, don't you think. The summer in Germany is short and the winters are long and full of snow. It does not really storm there, it does rain some but no thunderstorms like in the states. I was stationed there for three years, there are very few days where there is not a cloud in the sky. Most days are cloudy. In April I had my daughter and it was still very chilly there. Hope this helps!! Munich would be comparable to New York I'd guess - but with a lot less snow - unless you head to the mountains. It's a big country and weather varies widely. The further north you go, of course, the colder it gets. And the higher you go into the mountains ... I have lived in Bavaria for the past year and a few months. The summer is ok, not too hot. The winters I've been here it hasn't snowed much at all, temps generally between 20-40. It seems like it's gray and cloudy all the time though. It's very rare that you get a clear day. |
