Where is the best uni in Germany?

friend of mine would like to study in Germany, any good suggestions ?

HI,

it depends on what subject your friend wants to study.
We have 6 universities, that received a prize for being the "best" universities in Germany.

There are two from Munich (Technical University and Ludwig-Maximilian-University), one from Karlsruhe, one from Aachen and the other ones I don't remember.

But as I said, it depends on the subject, for medicine Heidelberg is very famous, T眉bingen is good for law, Mannheim for economics, Aachen for engineering, etc.

So it really is difficult to say which is the best university in Germany.

I agree wih chapinero it really depends on the subject you want to study.
If you can add the subject we could tell wich is the best uni to that subject.
Unlike in the UK or in the US there is no uni which would be good for all subjects.

Depends on what your friend wants to major in. There are some elite universities in Germany:
- Technische Universit盲t M眉nchen
- Ludwig-Maximilians-Universit盲t M眉nchen
- Ruprecht-Karls-Universit盲t Heidelberg,
- Georg-August-Universit盲t G枚ttingen
- Universit盲t Karlsruhe (TH)
- RWTH Aachen
- Freie Universit盲t Berlin
- Universit盲t Freiburg
- Universit盲t Konstanz

It depends on what you plan to study. There are many excellent Universities in Germany but you need to say for what subject. If you are just looking for a Liberal Arts program I would say Heidelberg would be best.
