How does unemployment effect young people in France?

How does unemployment effect young people in France?

It seems to me that it affects people differently depending on their initial economic and social status.

Unemployment among the poor, non-white, mainly Muslim, kids of the banlieues has resulted in violent disaffection characterized by a distrust of all government authority.

Unemployment among many more affluent, middle class white kids seems to breed a desire to become government employees, a stronger belief in the need for government solutions, and therefore, a socialist political attitude.

Of course, as the election of Sarkozy demonstrates, this is not universal and many younger people of my acquaintance are convinced that there needs to be a fundamental change in French attitudes towards work, decision making and economic organization.

It can affect every young people in France, not only strangers or emigrates,or Muslims, or non-white (i disagree with the other answer ..... !!)
Even if you are graduated you can have a lot of difficulties to find a job in your domain (except if you study marketing, health, informatics ..)

-If they cannot pay their rent, they have to go back (or stay) live in their parents/ family home.... not so great way to go !
