Things to do while living in Lyon, France?

I am moving to Lyon, France in September and I am going to spend 6 months there. What are the must-do things while I'm there? I am looking for some must-do things in Lyon, but things in France in general (and even Europe as a whole) are also welcome

go to restaurants lyon is the french capital of gastronomy and you're only an hour to grenoble if you want to ski.

in Lyon you have to visit: le parc de la t锚te d'or which is one of the biggest urban park in Europe, la basilique de Fourvi猫re (basilica) where you will get a good view of the city, visit le mus茅e des beaux-arts (paintings museum), le vieux Lyon (medieval city),
in the region you can visit the medieval village P茅rouge, les grottes de la Balme (caves), le parc des oiseaux (one of Europe most popular bird park) which is beautiful (Villars les Dombes -Ain).
