Are Bretons and Normans different from other French people?

Do they identitfy more with British people with whom
they have an old relationship?

Or are they "Gallic" in every sense like most French people?

Bretons and Normans are certainly proud of their traditons but I doubt either feel a closer connection to Britian than to France.

The Normans are of partially Scandanavian origin since this area was invaded and settled by the Vikings. The Bretons are true Celts.

While you are correct to identify the French as having Celtic origins, they are not generally taken to be Celtic and are not one of the six "Celtic Nations" as are the Bretons (the other five are Scotland, Ireland, Cornwall, Wales and the Isle of Man).
