I'm going to Disney Land, any tips or advise ?

I'm going to Disney Land Paris for my 13th [don't want to be 13 :( ] on Wednesday. Does anyone have any tips or advise ? Like ques, prices, best times ect. Any advise welcome & appreciated thanks! Hope you can help me, I'd help you lol!

I've only been there at Xmas time & the queues weren't so bad, most queues were 5-10mins, the worst was 20mins. I'm sure on a Wednesday during term time they won't be too bad either but it would be a good idea to get the fast pass tickets for the popular rides. Get them as soon as you get to the park because they run out quickly.
Wrap up warm, it's very cold in France. You'll need your gloves!
You can buy your ticket for the park online to save you some queing time, I've enclosed the link.
If you want to watch the parade get their early to get a decent view point. We found you had to get their an hour beforehand to get a decent spot which if you're only going for the day is not convenient I know. People do tend to get pushy & shovy though & unless you're at the front you're constantly craning your neck to see.
Have a big breakfast in the morning to keep you filled up because the best time to go for lunch is after 2pm, it can be very busy beforehand. If you're watching your pennies (or cents as it will be) then take snacks with you. If not then there are plenty of street vendors selling snacks around the park to keep you going between meal times.

Lastly & most importantly, have a wonderful time & a very happy birthday!

I was there for new year. The queues are massive during the day(that means all day til about 15 minutes before closing). Be prepared to be bumped by ignorant tourists who don't look where they're going. If You don't like crowds, tough.

well it's really fun there!
but the lines for rides and stuff are extremely long :(

- bring your own sandwich, you will avoid queues and avoid to spend too much money

- there are lots of queues if you go there during week ends and during european vacations. Wednesdays should be ok. Be there at the opening.

- don't buy your ticket there, you can avoid the queue if you buy it in Paris (in any train station or travel agency or Carrefour billet)

I would disagree with the person who responded re the queues for the New Year. It won't be a public holiday, so it won't be that bad.

I have worked in Disneyland Resort Paris in the past, and Jan & Feb are the quietest months. They sometimes open two of the lands a couple of hours after the rest of the park to accomodate this,

Wednesdays are slightly more packed than other days, as French kids have half days at school, and it also means that some attractions (such as Honey I Shrunk The Audience) would be performed in French whereas, say, on a Tuesday it'd be in English.

I assume you are going to the Magic Kingdom (as you are just there for one day) but I really like the Walt Disney Studios; this time of year, you will be able to see everything in under four or five hours (but I would suggest not seeing the Motors Action stunt show there; it is cold and longwinded)

Also re the comment on ignorant tourists. If you have not visited the park before, you may be seen as one yourself, but generally everyone who works there is very nice (even if their English is shaky) but other Guests may turn a bit nasty

I totally agree regarding bringing a sandwich to save time and money buying food in the park. Officially you shouldn't do this, but no-one will stop you. If you eat in a queue line, make sure you finish before you get into the building and (although they can see you on cameras etc) no-one will say anything.

You can't get proper Salt & Vinegar crisps in France, or Pork Sausages, so when we saw someone eating either of the above on a camera, word would spread like wildfire, and we would be especially nice to them in order to get a bite.

I agree re Fastpass tickets generally; you may be a bit young for this, but also find out re Singles queues.

For someone of your age, I would advise against seeing the parade. For older people, it is a time to relax; younger people enjoy the colours. But if you only have one day in the park, I'd suggest you give it a miss, as it is an hour when you could be riding. And of course, when people are watching the parade, the queues are shorter.

If you are about the night before, it may be worth doing a dry run to find your way to the park (RER can be quite confusing), and buying your tickets the day before. Then you can have a nose around the Disney Village (free entrance) to get into the mood, and ask any further questions without wasting time in the morning. I wouldn't recommend the Wild West Show in the Disney Village though; it is not as spectacular as they would make you believe and the food is disgusting and usually cold.

do you mean queues?

If you like roller coasters go for Indiana Jones, Crush's Coaster, Space Mountain,. A really good one I can recommend is Star Wars Tour. If you prefer Special Effects go for Armageddon, Cinemagique and Honey I Shrank The Audince. All attractions are very good but also make sure not to miss the parades held daily, usually around 14:00 and 16:00. The Electric Parade is worth watching if you're there late enough 20:00. Most of all just get the maps (make sure you get the English versions) at the entrance to Park, Studio and Village. Have fun and enjoy yourself. Don't worry about speaking French all the personnel working there speak very good English.
