Isnt sicily italian?

whats the difference?

No Sicily is a city in Italy, Italian is a race there is a big difference.

sicily is part of italy..its the part that thats not connected

No!!
It's Sicilian!!

Of course Sicily belongs to Italy. It's a beautyful island full of ancient culture, beautyful beaches etc.

Sicily is an autonomous region of Italy in Europe. Of all the regions of Italy, Sicily covers the largest surface area. Although today it is a region of Italy, it was once a country on its own.
They still have their own language besides Italian. Ah, and very good food :-)

Sicily is in Italy, some speak italian, some speak a dialect sicilian

Not if you ask a Sicilian. It's Sicilian.

Just because Italy is the country, doesn't make it Italian.

That's just the Sicilian point of view. The island has been conquered by many other countries, but they consider themselves apart from Italy.

Catalu帽a is the same in Spain. Scotland, England.

If I were from Sicily, and you would ask me if I were Italian, I'd reply "Are you joking??? I'm Sicilian!!!!"

Italians always claim to belong to their region or city. They love to speak their own dialect more than Italian...

But, as a fact, Sicily is part of Italy.
