Planning my next trip to be to Finland. What should I see?

I have done two backpacking trips across Europe that have lasted for 1 1/2 months each. I have gone to Sweden (was born there) and Norway (yet recognize that their is still tons more to see in both countries. I tend to stay in IYHA hostels as I am a member and they have good rates. What are the top main things that I should see.

It depends a whole lot of when you are coming to Finland. Many tourists come here to see the northern lights in the midwinter, the colourful autumn trees in Lapland or the Midsummer's white nights. The nature is at its very best in the northern Finland though, whereas Helsinki and Turku as well as other big cities are more for shoppers and museum visitors & culture lovers.

Welcome to Finland!
