Pricing question on a Rome vacation, help? |
so besides money for a hotel and flight tickets, how much cash would you recommend to have for food, travel around the city, activities, etc? Over a span of 10 days in Italy (mainly Rome and Florence) I easily spent 150-200 Euro on food alone, this includes cooking some meals at night. Add in alcohol, fees for site seeing and souvenirs it was easily another 50-60 Euro. it all actually depends where you like to spend and how much.In an average restaurant 20-30 euros per person is very usual. Already most of the places include breakfast, for lunch, if the weather is fine, i would suggest some street food, they're around 5 euros for a sandwich or some pizza. For Coliseum the ticket is 18 euros per day and i think same ticket works for ancient Rome ruins as well. It's free to enter Vatican city but Vatican museum charges something. City tour is 16 euros per person per day and 24 for two days, i suggest you to take 110 bus, every 10 mins they have a bus.If shopping is one of your ideal activity in Rome, you better take as much as you can, there're many nice products and discounts all around...specialy for ladies.Enjoy your trip. |
