Are French Canadians Nice?

The reason why me asks this question is my friends have lived in Quebec and Montreal for many years. and they claim french Canadians are friendlier then the French from France.

Is this a fact or do you believe it is just a matter of someones personal opinion ?

Like every where else, some are and some aren't. As for nicer then the French from france I would disagree. Nicer then the french from Paris, but Provence and the Cote d'Azur are very friendly.

no they're mean just look at celine dion

I've heard from alot of people that the French in France are really rude to outsiders... so it might well be fact! Though of course not everyone in France will fit that stereotype.

I think they are nice. I am 25% French Canadian. My whole family is pretty friendly! Besides, it isn't to hard to be friendlier than the French in France!

I have never met anyone who visited Quebec who did not have a Quebec horror story regarding the people there.

People in Quebec are very friendly. I have not been to France so I cannot make a judgment call. French Canadians are renowned for their hospitality and I have never heard anyone complain about Montreal. In fact most people love it there.

i've heard french canadiens from quebec are very rude but that is just hear say

It is a personal opinion and a generalization of an entire province of people in the one case and an entire nation in the second case.

There are friendly and rude people everywhere, no matter where you go! Some people have issues. Some don't.

You know what happens when you assume things.....

Montr茅al is one of my favourite cities and I always have a great time there.

Sorry, but I have no use for the French Canadians. My Aunt married a French Canadian and I can honestly say that there is only one person that I truly hate and that would be him. He always has to be in control, have the last word and has accused every other family member of steeling from him in one way or another. There are good people that unfortunately have died at an early age, but this weenie is 84 and is still going. All I can say is time is on my side.

Generally speaking yes French Canadians are nice because they are Canadians and there is a huge difference between a French Canadian and a French from France. So your friends are absolutely right.

only if you too are French, they are rude arrogant, self absorbed have a chip on there shoulder, i personally hate them Canada would be better without them, there aholes

Not to sound unkind but why do you care?
