Obtaining A Passport in Ontario...?

How do I apply or where can I go to get a passport in ontario? Is there any information I need to know about getting a passport?

Hey there. You can find out everything there is to know about obtaining a Canadian passport from their Web site. There is a step-by-step guide on their Web site (http://www.ppt.gc.ca/cdn/index.aspx?lang... that will help you through the process. It's not difficult at all.

At the Yahoo passport office in downtown Toronto

thanks saved me the trouble wa going to ask the same Q myself

When applying for a Canadian Passport, an applicant must have their application, passport photo, and, if applicable, copies of documents confirming their identity signed by an eligible Guarantor. A notary public may commission a Statutory Declaration in Lieu of Guarantor only when you do not have a qualified guarantor. If you have a qualified guarantor, then your guarantor should sign your passport application

check out the link below for more information

One of the places you can apply is in Scarborogh Town Centre in Toronto (sorry didn't know where Ontario you are in)
-you can either get form from there or from a post office outlet
-fill in all the information with the signature of a guarantor ( e.g. family physician or a accountant) who knew you for at least 2 years.
-2 passport photos which also need a guarantor to sign on both
-bring all the IDs which are listed on the form, the application, the 2 passport photos and of course application fee to the office
- once you have submitted the form, the average time to receive the passport will be around 2-4 weeks
-if you would like it faster, you have to pay extra which will take around 7 days.
-also, you can choose to mail to you or to pick up from the office. (mailing to you will cost cheaper than pick up)
I hope this can help.
