I'm Going to Canada in the First Week of June with a Tour Group...?

It's a trip with my school (i'm in yr9). There's about 54 people total going, most of them normal, American Eagle-esque happy students. So, basically I'm spending a week in Canada with people that, runder normal circumstances, wouldn't be friends with me or I with them. Any tips to handle that?

Also, while a lot of the trip will be touring, there will also be time for independant shopping. Like in the underground malls and getting lunch and such. Three questions about that:
1. I'm finishing my first year of French class in May... will that be needed? Or do most Canadians automatically speak English?

2. Are there any gothshops in Montreal? (NOT like Hot Topic)

3. D'you have any useful tips for manners, Candian eccentrites, et cetera that I should know? Anything that'll help me NOT look like a *grimace* tourist.

Thanks for your help!

LOL. Why do you Americans think us Canadians are so much different then you. Everyone in Canada speaks English unless you go to Quebec, where everyone speaks Frence. People in Quebec are stuck up jerkoffs anyway so I would recommend not to go there. Oh ya, and the French tend to not like Amercians for whatever reason. Just so you know we dress and act pretty much like you guys do. And as for you looking like a "grimace" tourist, theres nothing you can do about that cuz you Americans have a really noticable accent and you stick out like a sore thumb.

Happy travelling.
