Can a Canadian Visa/Entry be granted at a US Border? |
I currently have a US visitors visa and have travelled to several countries (6 to be exact) including the US. I will be travelling to New York soon but would also like to travel to Canada to visit friends there as well if possible (since they are kinda close). Can I get entry at the border if I can prove that Im not trying to run off. I am from Jamaica and Im aware we are not ton the list of waiver countries. Thnx for your help uhh... no. you need to have a visa even if you enter by land. jamaicans need a visa to enter canada... whether they enter by land, sea or air. Our customs barely check people's passports, so as long as your not packing a bomb you'll be able to get in. If you have a passport or even just the visa might be enough and tell them your going to visit friends they'll let you in. We're really nice, especially compared to the $%^$& at US customs lol. you do not need a visa for a holiday to canada, if your stay is less than 6 weeks then all you need is your passport. You should go to the nearest embassy or a consulate to obtain visa |
