How are schools (elementary and high) in Canada? Is it worth relocating there from the US? Generally speaking yes but you have to be more specific Depends on what school, just like in the US. My mom is a kindergarten teacher, but has also taught grades 1, 4 and 5. She, for the most part, has thought it was good. There was a period when they were using an odd 'learn to read' technique but they have since cut that out. I think most schools here are great. Here in Alberta, there seems to be too much choice as to what you can involve your child in - French immersion, Spanish immersion, Mandarin, Cantonese, Polish, Ukrainian, Spanish.... etc. There are also schools that are geared more towards science and maths, or drama, or languages..etc. there are also 'virtue' schools or 'traditional learning schools' which is a public school but the kids are required to wear uniforms and it's very disciplined. So much choice! lol |
