Campo Grande, Brazil? live or been there?

I want to know how Campo Grande is to live in. Is it fun? is there much to do? No wikipedia definition, I want experiences. How is it?

I have not personally been there, but a good friend of mine lived there for a few months. He liked the area, but unfortunately he became very sick - parasites - and had to move. I don't know if this is an isolated incident and he was the unlucky one, or if it is common.

It麓s a nice city but very hot on summer. Not too big nor small town...something in between.
People are conservative and even somewhat shy. Good and cheap food and living cost.
Small working field if not dealing with agriculture or farming business.
